What a cracker of an incursion!
Professor Bunsen made learning about heat more than fun. He made flames appear or set on fire, shot things across the hall and made weird noises.
Importantly, though, he taught us that:
*Heating and cooling experiments are pretty cool
*Fridges don't make things cold, they move the heat
*Can't make things cold, you can only remove the heat from them
*Scientists study heating not cooling, because heat moves and cold doesn't
*Things don't retain their heat because the heat is escaping
*Heat can change the colour and look of an object
*Heat always moves to cold objects but cold never moves to hot objects
*Heat molecules move faster than cold molecules
*Gases move everywhere around us
